Gentle and nostalgic

A simple structure: a slender white bamboo rod passed through iron brackets at both ends.

The supple texture of the bamboo harmonizes gently with the bracket forms, which have a certain nostalgic air.

Besides serving as a towel rail, it also works as a hanger to “display” tapestries and fabric accessories.

A high-quality wall item that lets you bring Japanese materials naturally into modern living.

Adding the present to tradition

Kyoto, the ancient capital. Fine bamboo nurtured in this land has long been prized in architecture and landscape gardening.
A texture that deepens with time, and a beauty that is even used in World Heritage sites.
HITTITE infuses this traditional material with a modern sensibility, breathing new life into bamboo.
Refined design brings a soft, modern Japanese feel to the space.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

A. The Wabitake Series is designed for indoor use.
Because bamboo is a natural material, outdoor exposure to UV rays, wind and rain, and humidity may cause discoloration, cracking, mold, and deterioration.
For this reason, we do not recommend using it outdoors or in places exposed to rain. To enjoy the natural character of bamboo for a long time, please use it indoors.

A. For everyday care, wiping with a soft dry cloth or removing dust is sufficient.
Because bamboo is a natural material, please avoid cleaning with a heavily dampened cloth, and do not use detergents or chemicals.
If dirt is noticeable, gently wipe with a soft, tightly wrung cloth, then dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.

A. Blackening is a surface treatment that turns the surface of iron black through a chemical reaction.
Rather than covering the surface with a coating as paint does, it gives iron a calm black finish while preserving the iron's own texture and character.
Depending on the condition of the material, variations in shade and unevenness may appear, and the unique expression of each piece is part of what makes blackening special.
